Before any title, job, or business, I am a husband and father. I am married to Rebecca, and together we are raising six children – Ella Mae, Isabel, Victoria, Margaret, Ezra, and Birdell. They are the center of my life.
Being a husband and father has shaped the way I think about leadership, work, responsibility, and service. Raising a family teaches patience, sacrifice, forgiveness, and the importance of being present.
Our home is busy. There is always something happening, someone needing to be somewhere, a conversation to have, a problem to solve, or a reason to laugh.
Family First
Rebecca and I have built our life around family, faith, and the belief that our children should know they are loved, supported, challenged, and expected to care for others.
Each of our six children has a different personality, different gifts, and a different way of seeing the world. Being their father has taught me that people cannot be led the same way. You have to know them. You have to listen. You have to understand what motivates them, what concerns them, and where they need encouragement.
That lesson has followed me into my professional life. People matter before programs. Relationships matter before transactions. Trust is built over time.
Rebecca
I am proud to be Rebecca’s husband. Marriage has taught me more about partnership than any leadership book. It requires communication, compromise, patience, forgiveness, shared responsibility, and a willingness to keep showing up for one another.
Rebecca has been beside me through career changes, moves, raising children, long workdays, hard seasons, and good ones.
Much of what I have been able to do professionally has been possible because of the life we have built together.
Fatherhood and Leadership
Some of the best leadership lessons I have learned came from being a dad. Children know when you are listening. They know when you are distracted. They remember whether you kept your word. They need boundaries, but they also need grace. They need correction, but they also need encouragement. Sometimes they do not need you to solve anything. They just need you to be there.
I think the same principles apply to teams and organizations. People want to know they matter. They want clarity. They want someone who will listen, tell them the truth, give them an opportunity, and stand with them when things get hard.
That is a large part of what drives my work.
Why I Do What I Do
Forged Team Solutions is about helping people, teams, and organizations become stronger. But the reason behind that work is personal.
I want my children to see that work can be about more than earning a living. It can be about serving people, building relationships, creating opportunities, solving problems, and leaving something better than you found it.
I want them to see that success is not only measured by a title, income, or recognition. It is also measured by how you treat people. By whether your word means something. By how you respond when things are hard. By whether you help someone else along the way. And by the people who know they can count on you.
The Life Behind the Work
When I am not working, I am simply Rebecca’s husband and Dad to Ella Mae, Isabel, Victoria, Margaret, Ezra, and Birdell. Those are the titles that matter most to me. They keep me grounded, give me perspective, and remind me why relationships are at the heart of the work I do.
That is the person behind Forged Team Solutions.

My professional life has taken me through higher education, organizational leadership, community service, business development, and transportation. While the positions have changed, the purpose behind the work has remained fairly consistent: serve people well, solve problems, build relationships, and leave organizations stronger than I found them.
Today, I work in sales leadership with BusMax Rent-A-Bus, helping schools, universities, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and other customers solve transportation and fleet challenges. Much of the work begins with a simple conversation about what an organization needs, what is not working, and how we can help.
A Career Built Around People
Long before my current work in transportation, my career included leadership in higher education, student development, administration, community outreach, and organizational operations. Those experiences continue to influence the way I approach leadership and business today.
I believe responsiveness matters. Relationships matter. Keeping your word matters. And good leadership is often less about having the loudest voice in the room and more about listening closely enough to understand what people actually need.
Current Professional Work
At BusMax Rent-A-Bus, I work with organizations that need additional vehicle capacity, temporary replacement vehicles, seasonal transportation, or longer-term fleet solutions. Our customers range from schools and universities to businesses and organizations with specialized transportation needs.
The goal is not simply to rent a vehicle. It is to understand the operational problem and find a practical solution that allows the customer to keep moving.
Professional Connections and Recent Work
Serving People. Solving Problems.
Whether the setting is education, community service, organizational leadership, or business development, I have found that the fundamentals rarely change. Listen. Be responsive. Treat people fairly. Tell the truth. Do what you say you are going to do. And when there is a problem, work to solve it.
This website is a place for me to share some of those experiences – the people, stories, professional work, leadership lessons, successes, failures, and ideas that continue to shape my perspective.
